About Us

More Than Clothes

On April 19, 1997 Positive Images Enterprises, Inc. opened its doors. The non-profit organization was founded by Senator "Mandy" Dawson, whose original mission was to assist women in need. We work with men, women and youth. We have served over 15,000 men and women since we have been established.

Our Mission

To Empower women, men and their families to become self-sufficient. This is done by providing resources such as, clothing banks, HIV prevention workshops, HIV testing, pre-release and aftercare program, and faith-based substance abuse transitional housing program.

Our Clients

We help men and women going through life transitions, who are receiving public assistance, becoming rehabilitated, and striving to better their lives and those around them. Positive Images promotes personal growth, increased confidence, and strong work ethics for men and women who have undergone personal crisis.

We offer customized training at your site or ours. Cultural diversity is woven into the fabric of our everyday lives and is included in our training. Special emphasis is placed on employment skills, job readiness, life skills and HIV/AIDS in the workplace. For those who want to learn how to write successful proposals, we offer grant writing seminars.

Positive Images is a proud member of The National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC).
